Star Fox Zero was initially set for a November 20, 2015 release, however Shigeru Miyamoto has stated via Nintendo’s Facebook page that Nintendo will “need a little more time to work on areas such as the unprecedented discovery that we want players to experience in the game by using two screens.”

This comes as a huge blow to Nintendo’s already sparse fall and holiday lineup for Wii U, which is now headlined by Yoshi’s Woolly World and Xenoblade Chronicles X.

This move is aimed at polishing the game, and assuring that the Star Fox franchise’s quality is maintained. The problem for Nintendo is that despite Super Mario Maker’s success, gamers may become restless come November.
