Rumors regarding Sony’s Xperia Z3 launching for Verizon have been around for some time now, but Sony finally decided to make it all official on Thursday, October 9. Sony held a small event in New York City on Thursday, October 9, and while they took the stage they announced that the Xperia Z3 will indeed be launching on the Big Red network, and soon. Of course, as expected, this particular device will have a slightly different name versus the original variant. The Xperia Z3v. Everything else about the handset is the same, though. Potential buyers can still expect to find a 5.2-inch 1920×1080 display, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz under the hood and 32GB of built-in storage. There’s 3GB of RAM, a 20.7-megapixel camera on the back, and a 2.2MP front-facing shooter. It will have support for Verizon’s 4G LTE network, and a battery measured in at 3200mAh. It will also boast support for PlayStation 4 Remote Play, a waterproof frame and Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
